Considering the balljoints are greasable, they are different. I mean they aren't OEM Toyota parts, but fine for me so far. I went on a week long Moose hunting trip with them on nothing but logging roads and wheeler trails riding hard and fast for about 9 hours or more a day. They loved it....... I loved it. They didn't break.

I was wondering if they were basically Moog or something similar designed for Toyota applications. It would be nice to go to the parts house and get a set vs. having to order them from Freedom.

I have not attempted to replace the balljoints yet. I haven't needed to. Don't quote me on whether or not they are interchangeable, but I don't see why they wouldn't be. There are some other higher priced UCAs with seemingly the same design.

Maybe these are so cheap because they effed the logo up.. haha IDK. I'm happy with them, but then again, I may be happier with a nicer set. I don't have the experience. Maybe in the future.

Freedom Offroad makes adjustable coilovers too that are considerably less expensive than Toytec and the like, there's a thread on here somewhere with some guys that have installed them and seem happy with them. They adjust for up to 5" lift though which is crazy imo.

I'd save up for SPCs or JBAs myself...I have the SPCs and they've been great, though they leak grease out of the boots like a motherf****r. But since they're serviceable, I can keep them greased when need be.

Also, it's not so much the balljoints I'd be concerned about with questionable UCAs...it's the welds and quality of the material that hold the UCA in one piece. Older SPC's had some bad publicity a few years back before they addressed the issue, when photos circulated of some guys that had the welds snap on their's which can be really bad news if it happens at the wrong time.

That would be my biggest concern going with a relatively unknown brand like these, but if others have had good luck with them then it could be worth taking the plunge if you really need to stick to a budget.

For my application, being a moderate off-road daily driver, I really do not think these are going to break welds. Like I said before, I beat them on rough dirt roads and woodland trails for a week, like reeeeeaally beat on it. My definition of being hard on a truck may be different than other people's though. I believe there lies the issue. Some people are just too rough on equipment. You can bend a frame wheeling if you demand more than the machine can handle. You can break almost everything and anything if you don't care for it.

These parts are fine. They will be great to get your lift project rolling on a budget. They're probably even fine for long-term use on a daily driver or lightly used rig.

I may eventually upgrade to some SPCs or something similar, they are undoubtedly a better product, but these are a decent product, especially for the money. If you want the best, get the best, but if all you have to spend on UCAs is 300 bucks, buy them and move on to the next thing. They have not failed on me yet, so I'm happy.

I'l give updates as time goes on. Let's see what these things can do.

Yea these feel really beefy and seem to be well made. I really just do light off-roading so I think these are going to work fine. I should have my truck back tomorrow.

There not bad but you get what you pay for in the end. They are pretty well built for the money and the ball joints can be pressed out and replace. Ive heard of people throwing in new uni balls in there place. Don't know if that's true just what I heard. Ive been running mine for about 9 months now maybe more and they are great.

Pros: They are cheap and they help with droop. I was limited by my upper control arms hitting the coil and now it clears it with plenty of space. The ball joints do have a zerk fitting to allow maintenance on the ball joint only. Side note I don't do alignment cause I don't care but I'm sure they would help a lot with that too.

Cons: my caps to my ball joints have already popped off somewhere but I also go hard and also don't care about the caps ill just keep it clean. also that the bushing aren't grease able but then again for the money they will pay for them self no problem before I have to replace a bushing.
