Hello Tacoma community,

If all goes well on February second, I will be driving a new (to me) Impulse Red Pearl TRD Tacoma home to Washington state from Santa Rosa California. This is my First Tacoma and I am pretty stoked. I am basically buying this sight unseen, but if something goes wrong, I wont hesitate to back out. It seems like a pretty legit deal and the truck seems to be in great shape. Ill post some pictures here in a second. I have used the buyers guide in the first-gen forums to try and confirm the shape of the vehicle. Carfax checks out, and the ample pictures I have been provided seem to confirm the truck's condition. Needless to say, I am quite anxious and hope everything goes smoothly.

A little about the truck, It seems to be fairly stock. Perhaps slightly bigger tires, a truck box (which i will be selling), an aftermarket deck, and that is about it.

I was going to start posting my questions on suspension threads, but i think ill just keep posting on my thread and see what kind of results and responses i get. I am one week away from picking up the truck and I have already been dreaming up modifications. Luckily, just like my honda, there are an infinite amount of threads and knowledge out there from people that have already done everything I can possibly think of. I think the first major (ish) modification I want to do is a leveling kit for the front end. I should put out my expectations and uses for the Taco. It will be my daily. It will be used for home depot runs, hauling the gf and dog around, maybe some very very minor off roading very infrequently. Most importantly, this will be used to haul my race car around on a tow dolly. I think i like how the rear end height is, so I think i just want to make the front end match. As this is my first truck, I dont really know too much about anything (ask me about honda's though) so I am not sure what my options are. Leveling kit is what I am gathering, but what size leveling kit? Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated. I like the tires that are on it now, so i might stick with them moving forward after this set wears out. I have seen/read some of the suspension threads, but there is so much info and seems like most people are modding for wheeling and the lifted life.
