Anyone have a ARB summit bar for a 3rd Gen and have the mounts for the bottom of the bumper break? The mount in question is the passenger side mount that the bottom plate of the bumper screws into. It is not a structural mount, just a mount that holds a keeper that allows the plate to be screwed into it.

Presuming it failed from vibrations on the gravel roads I am on everyday, but that has me questioning the integrity of the bumper itself, surely it can handle that abuse. You can see from the pictures that this it appears to be a fracture from fatigue. If it was a blunt force it would shoe deformity in the bumper mount/bracket/plate.

And yes i know they cut the inner fenders to damn short on the install, and they should be tucked behind the metal piece of the bumper. That is small potatoes compared to them taking the ac out when they installed the bumper originally. It is being dealt with. Not overly impressed with their installation efforts to date to be honest, they also managed to f up the air locker install.

I don't have one myself, but while researching this bumper I found this video that may be of interest to you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFjsfvqG6oA Watch how the bumper resonates with high vibrations and gets shaking really bad. Would correlate pretty well with your theory of what happened to your bumper.

Hmm, well oddly after getting the recovery hook installed, it specifically says in the instructions to remove that mount. So its no longer needed. Interesting video though.
