Using the Ortiz purchasing strategy from here, I tracked down every truck with the option package & color I wanted within the radius I was willing to go. As it turns out there were only 2 in the area, so I started negotiating with both dealerships. The closer of the two dealers only engaged for couple rounds of negotiation, and then told me to "Pursue the other truck." Alrighty then, their loss. The other truck was further away but a much better deal. As stated earlier I bought a 2018 DCSB, 2WD, Limited in Blazing Blue Pearl, without any dealer installed options (mud flaps, running boards, floor mats, lifetime nitrogen, etc.) or at least nothing itemized on the sticker - $38,110 MSRP. The dealer took $3,119 off, gave me a $1,000 rebate for a Tacoma loyalty credit with my trade in (2013 DCSB 2WD PreRunner) and now it was $33,991. My trade in credit was right on, a couple bucks low but right in the middle of good & great condition and they didn't play any games with condition at all so I wasn't concerned with it. The dealer did tint it and give me floor mats, I say give because it isn't on the price sheet but I'm sure it is built in there. The rubber floor mats appear to be for 2017 as they are close but not quite a perfect fit. We were in and out of the dealership in just under two hours. I knew what I wanted, had financing arranged and was willing to drive away if I wasn't happy with it.

Overall a good experience out of Clearwater Toyota of Clearwater, FL. Old on the left and new on the right with Will the salesman sort of photo bombing the right edge of the photo.

I bought before the ortiz system. I wish I could go back and use it, but this isn’t possible yet. Congrats on the application and execution. Welcome.

White was going to be my first choice, until I saw BBP. In the summer I feel like I was in a skillet with a 4.0L V6.
