Hey guys I'm looking into getting the MBRP exhaust from Amazon for my truck. Was wondering if anyone has this and of course your opinion on it. Lastly, just wanted to know the difference between the two options that Amazon has. Link 1 looks like the exhaust doesn't come with the MBRP exhaust tip (model S5338P) and link 2 is the one that comes with the MBRP exhaust tip ( model S5326AL, also states its aluminized )

    1.

    2.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00F...acoma+mbrp&dpPl=1&dpID=41wvS-4n58L&ref=plSrch

Should I just get link 1 and save myself almost $100 for a tip or is their something different with link 2

As always your time is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I have the one from link 1 and love it.

Truck sounds so much more alive with it. There is a drone on the highway but nothing annoying.

Been thinking about one myself for awhile now. Here's a vid of it. It's of the turn down style but still good vid of product. The side exit will probably be a little quieter in the cab. I'll probably get the side exit version and cut it right by the spare tire behind the diff so it will still eliminate the side hanging portion.

Every exhaust demo video needs to be exactly like this. One more to add would be the noise from the inside. But this is good enuff.

He did have some from the inside. I agree tho. Best exhaust vid test. Imo that exhaust sounds terrible. Like pulling cats of a v8

You ever hear cats pulled off of a V8? I get the fact that the sound isn't for you its all preference, but the decibels aren't even close dude. V8, no cats set off car alarms.

This is how I feel. I chopped my exhaust after the wheel and added a tip later, so number 2 was never an option for me. Truck actually sounds like a truck now.

I’m interested as well and I made a few Facebook posts about the exhaust and the general consensus is that even with the side exit you still get drone on the highway which worries me a lot. I drive a a ton and I don’t think I can handle any drone but I think it’s impossible to get a good sounding exhaust with no drone.

Hmmm this walk around vid of @MaxxTRD badass long travel rig says he doesn't get any drone. Skip ahead to 16:02 is where he talks about it. I would trust @MaxxTRD over some chumps Facebook post. Just saying.

Yes, I have. From first hand experience. I said "like", not exactly like. It's got that tinny rattley sound. Seems like that's why he didn't wanna Rev it as high in the driveway, compared to the stock rev. Anyway just my humble opinion

My main concern as well is drone. It's my make or break for this exhaust. This is of course my everyday car and would probably get annoyed from the drone if it's the issue

As long as you keep the RPM's below 2000 you won't notice a drone. Thats optimal fuel efficiency zone on the highway anyway. The drone kicks in around 3000.

The truck has the cool downshift back-pressure "WUB" noise you hear from WRX's when decelerating/downshifting in city driving and I actually like that a lot.

    Lol. That's a muffler.

Flat plane v8 is either a Shelby gt350 or a Ferrari. My guess is the shelby.

Traded my mustang in for my truck too

I had that MBRP exhaust on for 2 days and hated it... it sounded like a wet fart on a snare drum

Kept the MBRP piping and got a Magnaflow muffler (5"x8"x20") and it sounds so much better
