Also interested in that Crutchfield sub. Can it be added without mayor modifications to the stock radio?

    I have this:
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13693334/JL-Audio-ACS110LG-TW1.html?tp=114
Behind the rear seat, passenger side. Had the shop install it. Trimmed the plastic rear panel slightly and the seat back closes with the slightest bit of pressure. Hits deep for a sealed box. Remote gain control is in the console. Really happy with the outcome.
I can get a pic when it stops snowing.

Jl stealth box and having mr marv build you a custom box is your two best options. I removed my rear seat organizer panels had mr marv build me a 10” box that perfectly fits behind passenger rear and under power window motor. Then i ordered “group buy 7 molle panel” to fit Around the subwoofer to attach storages pouches to. Gonna be awesome. There is plenty of info on here how to add a sub. Do it. Just buy once dont cheap out.

    You will need a:
-Amp with hi level inputs or
-amp with line in converter like lc2
    -shallow subwoofer
    -box
    -4gauge wiring kit
    -speedwire.

Search for 2016 audio build in audio forum thats the best one i found

I agree. You can go budget to some regard i was using a 300 watt rms fosgste amp i got on ebay for 125$ and it kicked ass. Found a good wiring kit cheap. Just dont go cheap on the box and sub. You can get a good shallow mount sub and a custom box from marv for 400 i bet. Shave 300 off right there and only need to remove rear passenger storage bin. Mount amp under driver seat. Should be able to do an entire amp/sub setup for 600$

    Sundown Audio SD-3 600RMS : $199
    Pioneer GM-D9601 500RMS : $140
Shallow box : $150+ For good quality (Marv is the man)
LOC and Wiring : Totally depends on what route you want to take (Digital processor $60-$250 or all the way down to a simple "tap into existing speaker leads" like $10), ($50 Walmart bullsh*t wires all the way to $180 1/0 gauge OFC run)

"Add a little bass" can be done for like $200 total on cheepo bargain stuff; it all depends on how much you appreciate the sound, quality and your truck overall.

Feel free to PM, I've redone the entire truck down to the metal. Full DynoMat, vinyl, re-wire, drivers, etc..

I have. I don't like talking bad about stuff because everything has its place; however, I would compare these things to the amount of bass you get from doing like a moderate door speaker upgrade. As in, with stock speakers it serves a slight purpose. If you ever upgrade your doors to even a respectable level (Like, anything above what's on the shelf at Walmart) you will barely even notice these things exist and therefore lose their purpose.

I totally believe in the start low and upgrade later philosophy but this is starting too low IMO if you ever plan to upgrade anything else.
