So Yankee hill was a sheet of ice last weekend and impossible without chains. Here's a pic of the bottom. Everyone there was sliding down backwards and it was pretty sketchy. Some of the other trails are doable but chains are still highly recommended if you want to go up. Getting to the range was no problem tho

I just ran Yankee today under what were probably warmer conditions than you had. I had to hit it pretty hard through some drifts with both lockers after the shooting area, but I managed to make it up to the top.

Did you forget the part about getting stuck? Or did it actually not happen this time? :boink::D

Not this time. Believe it or not I’ve actually gone out a few times and have not gotten stuck. Yankee hill is my January tradition now.

Yankee Hill is always a fun time even if the snow gets too rowdy

    What's up Colorado Fam!

I'm flying in to Denver from Houston on the 25th-29th with my girlfriend. The major activities include skiing and snowmobiling in copper mountain then her birthday dinner at the traverse and any other activity we can fit in. I haven't decided where were skiing. Either Breckenridge or keystone and the A basin. I've been to keystone and A basin but not Breck. I can buy an Epic ski pass that gets you in to several parks I believe. Staying in Denver first night and then an air bnb out in breck for the remainder of the trip.

I will be renting a dodge ram 4x4 "or equal" and I kind of want to trail blaze around

It would be cool to meet up with any members or just any suggestions from you guys would be appreciated. Thanks

I’d be down to trail blaze the rental but I’m already committed to go shooting at my friends house in Watkins on Saturday. Sunday?

I wish my taco wasn’t rotting in the dealership yard. Sunday looks to be a good snow bashing day.
