I just want to be done.

Ive been following this thread probably as long as ive been a member on TW but i grew up in Placerville actually headed back at the end of the month for a few weeks. But its not as nice as it looks with just a drive through if anything Cameron Park or Folsom is the way to go IMO. Or south lake if you want to get fancy haha

Haha. It was when I was getting into Tacoma’s. Seemed cool. The badges are really cool. But then after watching videos it’s really just a spending contest and those that can’t spend drool. Almost as bad as teenage girls (and @ChadsPride) at a Bieber concert. :p

Haven’t done much lately. Not much else to do I guess. Plus I haven’t been off road since I moved here so no chance to see what I need to upgrade.

But I did a couple things today.

First off finally fixed my skid plate. The gear shop didn’t install it correctly so there was a step in between the two skids. But now it’s all nice and flat again.

While under there I can see how bad those hydro bumps are. Even in this pic it’s a little jacked up. Normally I have about 1/2” space between the control arm and bump. Which means I’m riding that thing most of the time. I think I’m going to get rid of them and put my super bumps in their place.

Toyota lube techs did the same thing with my skids. Except when I was driving out of the dealership I heard a loud clunk going over the speed bump. Crawled underneath and found six out of ten bolts not even finger tight. Plus the big lip because of not putting them on correctly.

Maybe it’s because I installed them in the first place, but it doesn’t seem hard to put those back on correctly.

It seemed like it was harder to fix them then it was to put them on initially

Weld a flat plate to the king bump stop and bolt the super bump to it. Otherwise I am riding the bump pretty much constantly. Which also means I have to leave the pressure a little lower since it’s basicslly a third shock right now.

If I put the super bumps back on I’ll get back over an inch of free up travel.

I’m not 100% yet. Just an idea when I was under there last.

    Thanks. :D

Outside of undoing some of the suspension it’s pretty much done. Nothing really else to do.
