Passenger side. Pictures probably do a better job than I can describing this. Truck is under warranty, but what am I likely dealing with here so I can go to the dealer with a little bit of knowledge. Thanks!

Possibly a plugged gutter drain under the hood cowl.

Do you park under trees that drop a lot of debris on your truck?

A very small tree, but it has been bare for several months now. The passenger side was torn apart recently to fix the speaker panel rattle issue that several people have had. Also, we have been getting some winter weather (snow and ice) in central Ohio.

Might be an ice dam under the cowl backing up water into your cabin air supply.

I just tried looking and I can't seem to find a good way to look down into there from the engine bay

I have not taken my new truck apart yet to help you out with that. Sorry.

There looks to be a YouTube video or two on this same issue.

Maybe dump some hot water down there to melt the possible Ice Dam? :notsure:

I wonder if snow/ice got in there after clearing off the truck before my drive home, but this has never happened at a car wash. Dealership wants to see it

If ice is the problem, I would suggest air dryer, rather than more water that may find it's way into the cab until the ice melts.

Will be interesting to hear what the dealer finds or doesn't find. I really hope for your sake that you don't get the typical dealer response. "Unable to repeat".

Let us know what they/you find.

I will definitely update. I emailed them the same pictures in this thread, so all they need to do is find the source.

So far my dealer has been pretty proactive with me on the items I have had them look into and the issues I have brought up with them (low transmission fluid, hood adhesive came loose) have in fact been real things that needed resolved. So I think by now they know I'm not crazy haha

I don't have the truck back yet, but the leak was due to a deformed cowl which will be replaced after they get parts in

Good to hear they are taking care of it. Sounds like you have a great dealership working with you.

I am pretty impressed so far, in fact I may get the truck back tomorrow (they are also having a body shop put a quote in regarding something with the hood adhesive under warranty).

Service manager is great so far, she actually asked me if I replaced the air filter so they could be sure to reimburse me for the cost since it had been wet when the leak occurred (dried while running the air). Never had a dealership go out of their way make sure I had zero out of pocket cost.
