Are there any breakfast crock pot recipes?

How great would it be to wake up to a fully cooked breakfast? Just as good as coming home from work to a cooked dinnner I bet :bananadance:

In for this... I cant imagine eggs holding up well under heat for 8 hours, but maybe some gravy and biscuit/dumplings

Apparently i can do biscuits in the crockpot if u put a towel between the pot and the lid. It will catch all the condensation and keept the biscuits from gettin soggy

Been a bit of a busy evening.

It turned out looking slightly less than appetizing (mainly the potatoes and carrots), but damn tasty. I'll probably tweak the recipe some next time, but this one is definitely a keeper.

They say that half of eating is with your eyes, but that’s actually the eyes of other people. For the creator, close your eyes and dig in :)

Damn right. I'm not too worried about general aesthetics when cooking. Does it taste good and fill me up?

A gentle stir towards the end of the cook would make it 'look' better.

Here you go. Depending on how your crockpot heats (not all are the same) you may need to adjust cooking time.

    Ingredients
    • 1 30 oz package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
    • 1/2 lb ground sausage browned and drained (I prefer breakfast sausage but you could use Italian)
    • 1 lb bacon cooked and chopped
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1 onion diced
    • 1 green pepper diced
    • 1 red pepper diced
    • 12 eggs
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/8 teaspoon sugar
    Instructions
    1. Grease a large 6 quart slow cooker (or bigger) with cooking spray or butter
    2. Layer half the hash browns in the bottom of the slow cooker
    3. Top with half the sausage, bacon, cheese, onions, green pepper, and red pepper. Repeat layers with the remaining ingredients
    4. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and sugar
    5. Pour egg mixture over hash brown and cheese layers
    6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours on low or 4 hours on high

    No problems.

You can cut the recipe in half just drop the cooking time to 4 to 6 hours.

Ya changing it up is always the fun part. I like some good ham in there instead of the bacon at times. Also been thinking about how to do it using a sausage gravy in there to make it REAL good for me lol.
