    UPDATE:

So as I was leaving work yesterday, everything seemed fine. No knocking sound and suspension felt good. Drove in to work today and everything seemed fine. Sooooo... my scientific guess is that it was some sort of ice/snow somewhere that I couldn't see.

Mine went away after I kicked the shit out of my tire while pumping gas.
I was mostly knocking snow off my boots. Heard the knock sound the first tap, so I tried again and harder. No more knock.

Like you, I think something uncool, but also very cold, was up in this mystery location and caused it.

We can call that the "technical tap" fix.

Hey ya'll- new here, but wanted to toss in a thought. Check your steering shaft coming out of the firewall- mine had a good amount of play and ended up being the culprit. Took me a good 6 months to figure this one out, haha. Good luck!

Just had the same issue from my front right this morning. Knocking sound, while heading out of my place, im on country roads so it was pretty audible. Dirty and a bit salty on the truck but ill be checking all of these suggestions later today when i take it for a wash
