    Is the kb voodoo plug and play or you have to splice some wires? I really don't wanna play around with wires under my dash.. lol

    Also, how much do you pay per year for the smart start? My friend has the drone smartstart and he said he pays $50/year..

    No the remote start kit is not plug and play, you will have to tap 9 wires like others have mentioned. If you don't want to mess with wires under the dash then don't buy it or pay someone else to do it for you. There is no way around this and no one makes a plug and play kit for remote start that I know of

    I pay $80 a year for the Smart Start

    Actually 12 volt solutions makes a plug n play kit for 250. I would love to get this kit since it’s cheaper but probably won’t happen since I have to slice.

    What’s my best option for remote start if I don’t have push to start? Just have an “H” key. I’d like to not have to carry an extra fob, seems like a pain.

    Nope. We looked into it, but there's no real benefit, and it raises the cost significantly. Our kit is very easy to install.

    I did not cut any wires. I carefully peeled the jacket back and soldered on the wires from the dball onto oem wires.

    Hey @KB Voodoo I got your kit, installed it with military splice, and triple checked all my connections for color, pin, and proper contact. I am only getting the red light. The truck functions properly, no codes or weird behavior. I sent an email to sales@kbvoodoo.com last night. I might be a little hasty in asking again, but any help would be great. Thanks

    Update: Nicholas and Chad both emailed me an updated wire schematic for the 2018 and the remote start works perfect now! Thanks @KB Voodoo

    I’ve got some of my own and they are growing up just fine, but I guess to each their own... I wasn’t knocking it I was just simply saying I agree with Kenny that I would get it if it had the option to stay on when door is opend with key fob around.
