It's not the ground buss bars you need to worry about but any exposed positive connections like the main feed to/from the breaker to the Bussman, bumping those and the plate could ruin your day.

Finally got mine dialed in. The entire panel wired with QD Duetch connectors if I have to pull it out for maintenance.

Also cut off the OEM battery lug and installed Knuconcepts + and - Terminals. I'll eventually change out the battery tray and tie down when I go duals.

That works, and its a very budget friendly route to go. Those Bosch relays are. Few bucks, then just wiring and connectors. I opted out of that route because I wanted a Cleaner more simplistic fuse/relay setup. Also that setup takes up a lot of real estate.
Nothing wrong with it, it gets the job done.
Unfortunetly I don't have a panel for above the wireless charging pad. because it's all molded into 1 piece that wraps around the dash.

The engine bay isn’t inside the cab. A setup like that might be doable if your working inside the cab. Your going to need a waterproof setup.

The set up with the bosche relays and wiring neatly layed out without a relay box.

If I was going to do that Setup and mount it in the engine bay, I would at least use the waterproof relay connectors like this [IMG]

    A little a this, a little a that...
Does anyone know of a good ground location under the rear passenger side of the bed? I'm going to wire some 12 v outlets in the bed on that side and the only ground I know of is on the frame on the drivers side.

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but y'all seem helpful and knowledgeable here. Thanks.

I went with a bussman relay flush mount. Paranoid56 is getting it all cut up for me

I'm sitting here at work carefully taking pictures so I don't get patient information in the photo, but then am quickly realizing there's too many good set ups on here (and I'm only on page 7) so I'm just gonna make this post and sub the thread for future prowling :spy:

When I wired my cap I used a hole behind the passenger taillight. I just sanded away some paint and it’s been good ever since.

Hmm... forgive me for this noob-ish question but I read through the Bussman Relay & Aux Fuse Panel sticky and other threads, but from my understanding a circuit breaker is solely to protect the... auxiliary fuse box?

So you don't fry that, because in theory if you had a (say) 10amp fuse for your LED light bar, if there was a surge of power that is probably MUCH higher than the 10amps and whatever else you had on there, it would just blow all your fuses, correct?

It’s also to make it easier to work on since you can pop the breaker and work on the panel without disconnecting the battery.

Yeah okay I could see that too... just trying to figure costs and such with cleaning up my wiring since I already have a blue sea fuse box laying around... I just need heavy wire to run from the battery --> the box

No, only the 10A fuse would blow. Each fuse protects only what us downstream of that fuse.
Yes, the breaker protects the fuse box but also all of the circuits behind it. If perchance you're waving a wrench around under the mounting plate and short the + cable either at the bussman end or at the breaker end then the breaker would pop. A short between the breaker and the battery is bad news since that won't trip anything.

Right, so if I had, say 4 fuses
    5amp - Hood light strip
    10amp - Fog Lights
    20amp - Light Bar
    10amp - CB Radio

If I did not have a circuit breaker and there was a surge of power, all (4) of those fuses would blow... the items themselves would be fine because power was overloaded and the fuses did their job and blew and so all I would have to do is replace those (4) fuses?

Because from what you're saying at the end of your post, having a circuit breaker also helps because
1.) you can flip the breaker and kill the power to work on whatever
    and
2.) if you're working on the fuse box, basically that allows you space where you won't trip the + since you have the "dead zone" in between the fuse box to the circuit breaker

    ....if that made sense hah
