I know the bed mat is the same....i am wondering bc i found a great deal on a backflip F1 but it was on a 2015 taco...already check part #'s and they are Not the same ....however i was wondering if the tonneau still can be use.

Anybody got the same cover from a gen2 in a gen3?

The bed rails are higher on second gen. Hit up bak and see if they can send you the hardware?

Yeah. I couldn't imagine they changed the actual covers between the two, just the hardware.

Depending on the model, you might be OK....

I got a Solid Fold 2.0 in late 2015.... installed it and like it. My buddy gets one in Feb 2016 and it's a different model (it is wider and comes all the way out to the edge of the bed rails)....

Mine sits about 3/4 to 1" in from the outer edge of the bed rails....! I actually like the look of mine better than his....

I'd measure the cover at the front and back and measure your bed at the same places....

Then make decision..... Could you "dry" fit it at his place..??

Do you have the newer model of Extang..???? My buddy is on his 3rd one as they keep de-laminating.....The surface is separating from the inner layer, causing bubbles...!!

Nah mine is fine(so far) my issue is that IMHO a trifold tonneau is pointless. What about when you need the whole bed? Or more than the 1st 2 pieces folded? Then you gotta take it out but it still wont store inside the bed(with the tailgate closed)....to me the bak is a good solution.

The tailgate is thicker on 3rd Gen.

Bed sides are taller, front lip is different, tailgate lip is a different shape. What this meant for us when we borrowed the tonneau cover from our second gen was the seals didn't match up and we had to deal with a lot of dust on everything in the bed.
