Hey all, I am coming from Ford where the sony premium system caused a lot of issues with installation, along with the piped in fake engine noise. I want to upgrade a few things, but in steps and had some questions about the process. Most likely I will have a pro do most of it, but I'd like to do as much as I can by myself. Sorry if these question have been asked, I have searched the first handful of pages on the audio section and googled, couldn't find info on these specifics.

1- I will be doing the whole sound deadening deal (tiles, foam, mlv) throughout the vehicle besides the headliner myself. My question is this, if I cover the doors with everything (obviously leaving speakers open) would that interfere with installing upgraded speakers later? Should I just do the floor/back wall and wait until I am ready for speakers too?

2-Is the JBL premium head unit powerful enough for some aftermarket speakers and sub?...also, with the premium system, does the stealthbox 10 inch fit/work without much messing around. Or is there a sub that fits that box that is significantly better?

3- Could I just install some better speakers to the premium system without messing with tuning and get good results? This would allow me to do it myself, without paying the pros.

I am coming from a focal/arc audio build in my f-150. I absolutely loved it, but it cost quite a bit to install, which is why I am at least doing the deadening by myself (have done 3 cars so far and am getting good at it by now) as it will save at least 1k in labor. I like to have the stereo loud and crisp, with good bass.
