Good Saturday morning. Lot to do this weekend oldest son is moving back in next weekend and need to change some rooms around. Supposed to get up to 40 here today and upper 30's tomorrow then goes to hell so don't think going to bother with washing the truck.

MOTORISTS SHOULD ANTICIPATE IMPACTS TO TRAVEL SUNDAY EVENING INTO MONDAY EVENING AS SNOW OR AN ICY WINTRY MIX SPREADS ACROSS THE AREA. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 INCHES OR MORE ARE POSSIBLE, ALONG WITH ICING UP TO 2/10 OF AN INCH.

Guess better work on the snowblower chute control that broke earlier in the week with the last storm. But :pccoffee: it is Saturday after all. I'm cooking over fire in this nice weather this weekend as much as I can too. And carry more salt melt from the storage shed to the garage.

Yea you’d think. He showed me Wednesday work orders and weren’t done yet. Leak at base of toilet, tub clogged, hot water not that hot, etc. but hvac guy and custodians were dealing with a hot water leak in ceiling of computer science class. Water lines should’ve been in hallways and not over desks

This is the quietest the beach has been on a Saturday in a long time. Looking at 70* today, and near 80* Tomorrow.

They don't do much of either around here anymore. Guess it is better to have your vehicle slide through an intersection than adversely impact the environment

    Getting rid of a tomcat:

Idea 1. Rat trap with tuna fish as bait.
Idea 2. Not sure how to do it yet but, turpentine on its ass.

They were going to just replace my u joints until they found the shaft to have damage

I do too. Used to love seeing them fly over when I was at Dirty Myrtle in my younger days. Of course Myrtle Beach AFB is no more, and the joint base in Charleston doesn't have them.

Did they do an engine upgrade on those? I didn't notice that distinct whistle I remembered.

14 holidays,8 hrs sick a month, vacation hrs at year, and the best part is health care and all benefits start on day one. I wouldn’t have to buy cobra insurance at all.

    Good morning folks.

Day 1 of another debacle. The wind is cranked up today and I really don't feel like doing much. I think I just heard someone's trashcan tumble down the street...

Sounds very enticing. I'd explain that because you hold two licenses, you feel a higher pay rate is justified.

Similar to what I get, 3 hours minimum, actual time after 3. Are the dorms suite style, or the old style with gang restrooms and showers? I had reservations also when offered my job @ a university. Three dollar an hour pay cut, but have since made up many times over with the bennies, great retirement (defined benefit), don't have to kill myself.... If they do background checks like Pa public university's do, be prepared for three different checks, one including fingerprinting. Again, good luck Brother!

@Kolunatic & @MoneyMan55: Hmmm, sounds good. Can I be an apprentice. I already know two of the many golden plumbing rules: 1/4" per foot, Hot on the left. (Doesn't mean I follow them, though).

Yes sir. Director of operations understands that and all fees or classes that have to do anything with licenses are paid for. Spent over 2 hours with him yesterday as he walked me around campus.

    I’m cool. No worries.

I have a job. They know that. Also told him I wasn’t going to look for a job north until we had barndominium built and moved in.

To my knowledge they have made upgrades to the engines (and many other systems) recently and extended them to remain in service through 2028. At one point they were to be replaced by the F35, not sure where that debacle of an acft is now ... that whole concept never appealed to me. :notsure:
