Best bang for buck bed cover gen 3?

Again new to trucks in general and got my first 2018 shortbed taco about 2 weeks ago. Realized as I use it as a daily, i hardly use the bed (and even just got my OEM bed mat). I'd like to be able to throw stuff in there rather than crowd my cab area so my question is,

Best bang for buck for bed cover? My budget is ~$250 (maybe even $300 if worth it) and I just want something to deter criminals but doesn't necessarily need to lock since i won't be keeping valuables in there maybe just bags and sports equip. I've been searching craigslist daily as well. What's your experience with the Amazon bed covers?

edit: Think i would prefer a tri-fold over a roll up
