Well I don't drive allot so it would be like 3 to 4 winters and 3 to 4 summers that oil would have to go through to get 10,000 miles. I live in town and I try to drag Main St. a couple times so the oil will get up to temp but sometimes that just don't happen. Once a year oil change is what the dealer told me so that is what I shall do. This is my 3rd winter and my truck has under 8,000 miles on it. See what I mean...

2000km oil change (right after break in period)
    8000km oil change
    16 000km oil change.

waiting for 30 000km to do my next oil change then will get a sample and have it tested to see if I can do the full 16 000km.
Will be doing diffs and transfercase come spring time.

No where close to when toyota recommends them to be done. But I take it off road and go through water and even with the breathers just rather do them yearly.

15k miles on the truck. Haven't done anything except the scheduled 5k,10k, and 15k mile services performed at the dealer. Planning on doing the recommended oil changes every 10k miles. No need to go over and above in my mind, oil and motors are far superior to what they were when 3k-5k intervals were the norm.

Yes 10,000 miles or one year. Or 5,000 miles or six months. That’s never changed.

In the first 3 month I............

filled up the tranny fluid....(down 1 1/2 litre)
    Torqued U bolts....(most needed it)
    Greased zerks....(7-8 pumps each)
Fill front diff as well as the rear diff.... (both low)
    Checked Transfer case...(OK)
Let the 35 PSI out of tires and went with 29...(as per the door)

That made me feel so much better....knowing that these things were now the way they are supposed to be..!!

    Not enough to list
I do my own oil changes at 5-7k miles and while I have it on the lift, I check everything under the truck, grease fittings and stuff. I also rotate the tires around.
