Wondering if there is recommended dealer in the SF area for the recall. I’m expecting to pay them to remove and reinstall my air bags while doing the recall.

I'll be watching this thread since I just picked up Tacoma with airbags this week and it also needs the recall performed. I'm planning to hit up Melody Toyota in San Bruno next week and will report back.

I had Putnam Toyota in Burlingame do the rear spring recall on my Prerunner this year, but they weren't too excited about it. The service guy hit me with the hard sell on other services at the time and I regretfully fell for it. I paid for the more expensive KYB shocks and they installed the cheaper ones. I was lucky to catch it before leaving, but it cost me another day without my truck while they swapped them out. I'll see if my experience at Melody Toyota is any different before I'd go back.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
I brought my rig into antioch toyota nearly two months ago for the spring recall (for squeaks) and they said that the parts are backordered right now. I still haven't received a call and my repair order is still open.

I couldn't sit around and wait so I lubed up the leafs when I did my AAL and the squeaks are completely gone.

Putnam Toyota in Burlingame won't swap the springs with the airbags installed.

I may have tweaked a few things...
More than likely no dealer will touch it if you have any mods on the suspension. I have a friend that was refused just because he has blocks.

I had mine done at Hanlees in Davis. I called on a Monday, they had the parts in stock and made an appointment to bring it in Wednesday morning and they were done when they said they would be.

    Was stock though.
