So after a recent trip out to the desert and seeing one being towed by an older tacoma 4cyl, I got an itch to build one myself...

Based on a build thread in expedition portal, I have a general direction. The plan is to utilize a 4'x8' harbor freight (affordability/ease of access), and build up from there. It will be simple cube, 2 side window, rear door, sleeping platform with storage underneath. Battery inside the camper to power lights, fan, possible other accessories I might decide to add down the line.

If anyone on here knows of other threads like this that they'd like to link me to, or has any suggestions/specs to share they'd all be welcome. I'm going to try and keep this as simple and inexpensive as possible.

Already did thanks. Figured if anyone creative or with experience building campers wanted to chime in with what they had done in the past that it might be helpful. Hoping for a brianstorm to take place perhaps, but yeah I'll keep checkin in with that search bar.

Compact Camping Concepts and its tventuring forum is a great source for information and parts. The owner even b has parts and plans for converting Harbor Freight trailers.
