Whats up. I just installed my hid kit and I'm trying to figure out what the rubber grommet is used for. My best guess would be that this isn't a vehicle specific kit and it may be for a different application. Can anybody shed some light...pun intended. The lights are stupid bright compared to stock. I went with the 4300k philips bulbs. Stoked!

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
You're right. The grommet isnt used in this application. I usually cut it off of the wires so I can tidy them up a bit more. There is probably two additional wires going through the grommet that are also unused.

The grommet is designed for vehicles that have all of the wiring inside of the headlight housing. You then cut a hole in the dust cap to pass the wiring through so you can connect to the ballast.

I went with the regular 4300. I can't imagine worth 50 bucks for an extra 100-200 lumens. Also 15 percent off on winter clearance. 131 bucks shipped! Really looking forward to this, I am moving to Wyoming soon and will need the extra light to keep from hitting the deer everywhere
