Exhaust size adjustment.

So I changed the exhaust stock for a 3 in cat back mbrp. It goes from the stock size pipe to a 3 ' muffler and 3' out the tail pipe. Iv heard that bigger pipe reduces low end torque. If this is true should I take it to a muffler shop and see if they can make it go back to stock pipe size after the muffler. I don't floor it every time the light turns green but I want to have that low end there if I need it.

 

I dont think any exhaust you get will boost any type of performance. The exhaust swap is mainly for getting the sound you want.

 

That's the reason I got it. For sound not performance but I heard it reduces low end torque of you have a wider pipe.
