    Hey all,

New to Tacoma World. Just picked up my first 'Yota a few weeks ago, though I've had some drive time behind them over the years. 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport in Inferno, DCSB, manual trans :D. Thought about turning myself in to my local PD after basically stealing it from my dealership lol. Apparently city folk don't appreciate a good manual transmission anymore and this one sat on the lot for a little too long. Managed to get the TRD PRO grille thrown into the deal, really digging the different look.

I used to mod my cars when I was younger quite a lot, but my last 2 vehicles were during my broke college years so I've taken quite the hiatus from dumping funds into my daily drivers. I'm not planning on going crazy with this Taco, but I'd like to put my own touch on it for sure. Any advice for must have mods? Here is what's currently on my shortlist:
    • Remove front air dam/chin spoiler, duh (I rarely see the highway)
    • TRD PRO aluminum skid plate
    • Some sort of tri-fold style tonneau cover (rough country maybe? this is my first truck. guide me lol)
    • Winter is rough my way, so I'm going to be buying a dedicated set of summer wheels and will use the stocks as my winter wheels. Will get summer and winter tires respectively, and planning on going larger. I LOVE the look of Method NV matte black wheels on Tacomas and 4Runners, so will likely go with that.
    • I'm apprehensive about lifting my truck... I don't want to absolutely kill my fuel economy right now, but I have a feeling once I find a job a little closer to home that might not be as much of an issue. Don't get me wrong, I DO want to lift my truck... I'm just apprehensive about voiding warranty, creating other problems with truck, etc. etc. etc.... I've heard a lot of horror stories. Any feedback in this area would be much appreciated.
    • Exhaust? I've kind of been looking real hard at that Borla cat-back....

Looking forward to hearing from and being part of the community!
