    RESOLVED

I need to reinstall door covers for dog protection. The tint guy said not to use the clips that slide into the window sill. Will the Velcro tape be safe on the door or do I need to come up with an alternative option?

Need it on top of hard and soft dash:

    SOLUTION
Used a couple of dash tools to slightly pull away the panel and slid the dog door panel covers in

What part of the door does it attach? The soft part right below the window tears easily - my daughter bit holes in it! :(

Don’t stick stuff to the soft part, it will pull off underneath and leave sags in it. Window suction cups, or some type of bar mount? Or perhaps a fitted PVC pipe frame that sits on the floor vertically between the door and seat and is long enough to provide an edge- sort of like craddle walls?

Hmm suction cups might work. That wouldn't pull off the tint? PVC frame would be great but would only work on one side. I'm going to see if I can do a bar mount right now.

Any threads or info on popping the panel off? I think I can slide them between the panel and window sill.

Those panels are so easy to take off, one screw behind the plastic piece behind the door opener and another under some carpet in the door handle. Then pull the panel to pop all of the push pins and lift it off the metal lip that the gasket sits on.

In hot summer weather, the glue will soften up on the velcro and it will come loose with any kind of tension on it.
