Hi ya! Just a quick intro to tell why I got here, in case you're interested. I have to find the perfect & newer Toyota Tacoma, because -- and the reason is enough to make anybody's heart leap for joy -- because I'm free. Yup, my husband of 1-month-shy-of-49-years of marriage passed away in August and I loved every inch of his being and I miss him fiercely so do you suppose that's a big part of what's driving me? He'd had a brain injury 25 years ago that took its toll but we both made it through, year after year. Our boys are raised too, doing great, and their families are great too. So how in the world does that translate into my needing a Toyota Tacoma? Well, think like I did: I'm free. Why should I ever settle down in a rocker? I am suddenly, unabashedly, wholeheartedly FREE. Nobody needs me, Sweet Cheeks, I. A.M. F.R.E.E! :)

So what am I going to do about that? (More like what am I NOT going to do.) I'm getting that Toyota, grabbing my always-misbehaving pooch and setting out across our whole United State of America -- North, South, East or West, I do not know. That's right -- I don't know what I'll find, nor how long I'll stay, who I'll meet if I care to meet anybody, and although being 76 years old and a female, I cannot wait to get started. I'll let you know. Start a blog or something titled...Free Sweet Cheeks? Or do you have a suggestion? I'd love your input.

I’m not writing to you with something for sale, but just to say I’m sorry for your loss and congratulations on keeping such a positive attitude. I wish I was financially capable to be able to do what you are setting out to do. You are truly an inspiration and good luck on your endeavors.

I like the thought process, and I like the idea of a vlog because it seems you have an interesting story to tell... But I'm confused by the FREE thing, someone still "needs" you, even if you don't know it. Good luck on your journey and I hope this vlog/thread/thing progresses into something extravagant.

Join/contact a local club and also check the TW regional forums. They would have better info in your local area.

Just be careful out there, it can be an ugly world out here. 25 years driving truck over the road and everyday is an experience good and bad. Sorry for your loss, but enjoy your voyage no matter where it takes you.

This is heart-breaking and happy at the same time. I think you should definitely start a blog or start something on this forum, and maybe get a chance to meet up with Taco owners along the way. If you find yourself in the Fredericksburg, VA, area, I would love to have you and the pooch over to our house for a dinner! Keep us posted and let us know, sounds like a great adventure and something I have always wanted to do!
