Just installed my prinsu cabrac on my taco but I'm unable to fit the rear cross bar on due to a clearance issue with the antenna. Any suggestions? Is there a lower profile antenna out there? Can I modify the current one?

I'd like to be able to utilize the rear two holes for the last cross bar so I can use it like a headache rack for ladders, etc

That looks like a cool rack. Can't the side rails slide back more?

    http://www.prinsudesignstudio.com/product-page/1-x-1-crossbar-fit-behind-antenna

    it looks close.....

On some of the later model Tacomas the shark fin antenna doesn't allow for a full width (1" x 2") crossbar to fit behind the antenna. Since the rack cannot be extended back further we offer a 1" x 1" bar that will fit in place of our standard 1" x 2" bars.

This item is recommended on all 2016+ tacomas.

This item is optional on 2005-2015 tacomas. Some will find it is necessary and others manage to fit a standard 1" x 2" bar.

Comes in a 47" width to fit all tacoma racks as well as 4th and 5th generation 4runner racks. Includes hardware.

They sell a 1” crossbar for that reason. Its on their website like stated above but email them there is a fix i think there is a workaround to it to avoid purchasing the crossbar

If he needs to carry ladders or other crap then he'll need a bar in that spot. Too bad that antenna can't be moved to the hood or somewhere out of the way.

FYI, I ended up just notching the 1"x2" cross bar instead of buying a 1"x1". Didnt want the bar to spin with only one bolt in each side. Works like a charm.

    Thanks for everyone's help

Sounds like a great idea, maybe the mfg should make something like that especially if the rack is designed for the tacoma.
    Do you have a pic?

    Not enough to list
I dont own the rack but does the top of the fin sit flush with the rack? Id be nervous even with the bar that if you put something large on the rack, it would sit on the fin and could snap it off or damage it

Here's a crappy pic. The rack sits just above the top of the antenna but you still have to notch to get the bar to clear it

Stuff mounted on top on the Prinsu rack over the fin clears it, including my heavy RTT.

Looks good, that was a good solution for keeping it horizontal. I found instead of notching the bar, it mounts vertically well enough and tightening up the 2 bolts does hold it well enough so the 2” bar does not spin. But someone could also pin the 2nd holes if desired and for added security.

I thought about the 1” bar, but I like turning my rearmost 2” bar vertically because I was able to securely mount a steel angle iron to the side of it to hold my 5/8ths wave 2-meter ham radio mag mount on that- it lets me keep the antenna up there even when my RTT is on the rack, and the mag mount is perfect for lowering the antenna as needed.

I thought about going vertically but my OCD kicked in and I wanted all of the bars mounted the same way haha
