    This would be awesome to know. I’d love to do this on my Tacoma since I’ve always felt the rear view mirror screen was too small

    Might be time to replace your reverse switch thing (technical term lol, can't remember the real designation, it's bolted to the passenger side of transmission), my 09 stopped beeping (along with backup lights and camera window in rearview mirror) and I replaced it. Truck beeps when put in reverse, lights come on, and the blue screen of death has returned to the rear view mirror. Going to have the dealership look at the wiring while they do the frame rust inspection.

    looking at a new system for my '14....so...

    CD...keep camera...keep steering controls.....Bluetooth etc.....

    Sony head for $279 + wiring harness(s) and other install stuff

    applications may vary.....replaced the OEM head in the wife's '05.....

    purty simple.....but no back up camera or SW controls......

    talk to Crutchfield...be sure to get the $20-$30 pre wired wiring harness for your truck

    a simple plug in/no splicing !
