I thought they had more? Been emailing with Marie and basically asked the same question but she’s not giving preference of one over another. I was hoping she could make my mind up for me.

Go search for pics of the OME struts after a year or two. They really don’t like snow/salt.

    Hello everyone,

Anybody has Bilstein 6112s and 5160s on their Manual Tacoma?

How's the ride? I considering this set up. Heard so much positive things about this but curioua if I am going 2", 2.5" or 3" front and 1 or 2" rear.

What did you use to lift the rear? AAL or Block?
If AAL, how's the ride without any load from the bed?

What's the preferred notch on 6112s?
    How's the ride?

    I am looking at 265/75/16 AT3W...

    Any feedback will be appreciated.

I got my 6112s from Rogue Off-road on Amazon for 610 shipped. Then ordered the 5160s from off-road warehouse and used there 5% off coupon for first time users which brought them to around 325 shipped. No taxes applied to me since I’m in NM. Just put them on yesterday!

    Settings:
    5/4 clip for 1.5 lift.
One inch block in rear for now

Did you keep your stock UCAs? How is the alignment on the truck?

Ya I did they said the caster is maxed out but need to take it to another tech to see what they can do. Everything else is good. There’s several people been able to get it within specs on the 1.5 inch lift. So I think it all depends on who you get.

1.5" is the max lift for 3rd gen using the factory UCA to get a proper alignment?

I believe two inches is but that’s more like a 3inch lift on the 3rd gens since ours are already lifted an inch vs the second gens.

ok I have it down to 3 lift choices ranging in price so I'm still trying to determine which I want to go with, but my question is if I lift the truck, are there other things I have to know, be concerned/worried about? Meaning, do I have to drastically slow down in corners, is there more nose diving while on brakes, is it difficult to get it back into alignment and are there more stress on all the other parts of the truck that I would have to address later?

Thinking about switching up my 2nd gen coilovers to,6112s. Since 3rd gen oem takeoffs are reported to add 1" lift to 2nd gens I wonder if the 3rd gen specific 6112s might be a better choice to achieve 2.5" since I won't have to compress the spring as much since they are, I suspect, already 1 inch taller than the 2nd gen specific 6112s. My thinking is that by using the highest 5/6 circlip on any bilstien compromises the performance/range. Thoughts?

I'm testing the 6/5 clip so hopefully my performance won't suffer much

I was thinking of 5/4 so its not maxed out, but will look for your review at 6/5.
