So I finally started watching Ballers on HBO. It has already completed 3 seasons, so I am late to the game. But after finally getting some time to start the show, I really like it! The characters, player cameos, shenanigans, gratuitous scenes, all mix for a great show IMO. I know it's exaggerated a bit, but it does feel like a peek into the life of an NFL player.

Dwayne Johnson does a great job as Spence. His acting chops have gotten better over the years and here it shines. He embodies the role perfectly. Rob Coddry is also hilarious as his business partner, Joe. I couldn't imagine a better casting for that guy.

I have only watched the first season, and half of season 2. I still got about 15 episodes to go to get current with the series. But overall, it's a great comedy series on HBO.

I would agree it's a good show. I'm in on all 3 seasons as I watch it at normal speed as it airs on HBO. I do DVR it and watch it a day or 2 later.
I would like to know with Dwayne being the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Just how much he's taking HBO for...

Is he the highest earning actor over 2017? I guess it would make sense as he does this series, and he was in a crap load of movies last year.

One of the big differences I have noticed from season 1 to season 2, is that Vern's right hand man Reggie has gotten a lot better, character-wise. He was a straight up dick in the first season, but he is quite enjoyable in the second season. He's more down to Earth and conscious of his role as Vern's best friend and advisor.

That's what I hear. Highest paid actor 2017. Reggie has chilled some. Trying to remember the 2nd season...Almost 2 years ago now....

The last episode I watched, Joe and Reggie were out to see the exotic animal dealer in Miami, to get a pet for Vern. Reggie sees a black panther, and the guy tells him that it's already sold, to Luke Kuechly. :D Then they end up with an alpaca named Rhianna. haha
