Majority of the people on here seem to run 285s. How many of you guys didn’t re gear when upsizing your tires? If so, any issues?

If auto, it is gonna downshift / hunt a lot more with larger tires. does not hold top gear unless on flat ground.

I have 255s, have not regeared yet but I can definitely say that there was a loss of power even with skinny 33s but its manageable. Seems the truck would be better served by 4.56 gears with big tires, but not for 2000-2500 bucks between parts and install on both axles

Auto here too and 285/75/16. But 4x4 so even heavier. Also sliders bumper and skids and lift of course

I hated driving the truck on stock gears. Switched front and rear axles with a 4banger that had stock 4.10. Pretty happy now but if I had paid to regear I would have gone to 4.30.
Alas, supercharger or more likely V8 swap in the future

Thats a pretty good price all things considered... Id jump at that offer too considering gears are almost 1K in parts alone!

You have a different motor and trans so doesn't really help OP whatever you experience

yeah, not too bad, and ECGS does great, no issues. I had broke my rear ring and pinion, so i had to, was an unexpected repair, but glad I did.
