    I’m hoping to remove the stock roof rails that are on my Taco, has anyone out there done this already?
    Have you found any tricks or good quality videos online of someone who has taken on this task?

    Not to hijack the thread, but on a related note.....

    I don't have the roof rack; I just have the rubber strips that go in the slots covering the welds. One of these rubber strips keeps coming loose and popping out.

    Do you think re-securing it with 3M Double-Sided trim tape would be sufficient to keep it in place, or should I order a new one and install it properly?

    Clear silicone. Glue it down if you never plan on using it.

    He means not using it like you’re not planning on adding a roof rack in the future. The mounting holes are located underneath the rubber trim pieces.
