I'm looking at buying a 2009 DCSB AT with 195,000 miles on it. Maintenance records look good and it is the second owner. Fluids, brakes, and tires were all done a year ago. Options are TRD OFF Road, SR5, 3 fold hard cover and swing out tool box. No accidents other than a small dent in rear bumper. Seller says no rust on body or frame. Is $12000 a good price for this truck providing everything checks out on test drive? Thanks for your input.

    4x4 or 2wd?

That doesn't sound like a bad price if it's in good shape and isn't rusty.

I think 10K would be better due to the mileage

If that's the truck in question in snow and if it was located in a salted road area, no frame rust would be an exception. If it's a long drive to check it out, ask for frame pictures.

Check KBB prices in your area. Seems like a good price to me provided it is a 4x4

I'm in WI and just spent extensive time looking at these trucks before we purchased last week. Yes, this is a good price. I just paid $12,700 for a 2006 with 185k, all other specs the same as yours. So you're getting 3 years newer for less money. Don't wait, because they sell FAST around here. At our local Toyota dealer, as soon as a used Taco comes in, they have a waiting list of people ready to put money down. We had to go out of state (MN) to get ours. Was one owner, had access to all maintenance records through Toyota's website, and frame was inspected (and treated) in 2014. Two days after we bought it, we took it to our local Toyota dealer and they said it's perfect underneath, changed some fluids and were on our way. Very happy with our purchase.

That's a good price, buy it!!!
I bet if you test drove it you wouldn't even know it had 195K, these trucks hold up very well. I'm close to 190k on my 06 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4.
