1/14/18 - A group of folks went down to the Cars N Coffee in San Antonio to show support for that group who often drive to Austin for our Cars N Coffee. I was unable to make the CnC, but I did meet up with @lilred95 to gather firewood before meeting up with @Phoosa @Tynan and @TX_Lucian for a cold night of camping. We woke up super early and headed to the CnC Austin event and caught an epic sunrise that Sunday.

The cold was tough but the fire was huge and made it no big deal. Here is last weekends fire vs this weekends:

Im going to have to take that apart and fix whatever part is busted at some point.

 

How did you like having the tent opening to the drivers side?

 

Its pretty cool. I have had to adjust my packing up of the truck to make sure the things I need are available on the drivers side. It also provides a private area on the passenger side for changing and what not. The bigger issue is that the traction boards are blocking the passenger side access through the bedrack into the bed and so they have been relocated back to the roof rack

Just a thought.
If you limit access to everything via driverside and have to get something from the bed, while pulled over on the side of the road, potentially puts you in harms way.
Think of a distracted driver swerving out of their lane.

Again, just a thought; but one I have after hauling many a trailer, for many a mile.

 

Well, the decision on whether or not to mount these and have 2 sets of wheels is no longer something i have to think about.
