This was the original planned route. Easy, simple to navigate, cool scenery and the bridge has some cool hiking and stuff to do. If you have Saturday off an are just looking for an easy cruise this would be my suggestion.

I second this. Just plan on it taking all day. Worth the trip though. Navigating the route is very easy and there's no technical obstacles to speak of.

I understand the people that took time off work to go to a meet still want to do something... but its really not hard, look up trails that fit your truck, post where you are going and what time you plan to be there, and ask if anyone would like to join..... those kind of runs happen almost weekly are a still a good time.

for you thick headed people that don't understand that the people organizing the event are ALSO the ones that take all the responsibility AND liability of the problems with having a meet that is oversized and unpermitted... well, your probably the same kind of person that walks passed a "wet floor sign, slips and than tries to go after the business for money kind of person".... not to mention that if someone gets hurt, and the event is not be done correctly every single person at hand is liable to be gone after ESPECIALLY with vendors involved because so many people are quick to look for a handout... not to mention the fines from the forest service for not having their stuff done the right way... Do you like vendors offering nice lunches, raffle and door prizes and donating swag bags and poker run gifts? If so, then you need to realize that a vendor is not going to attend, or keep attending an event that gets shut down or is ran illegally... would you want to tie your business name to that?

These guys NEVER ONCE SAID "There is no longer an event". They clearly stated that the permits were going to take a while, and that they would be ready to rock in march AND they apologized for having to change things around and push the date... This is a bummer but will ultimately allow for a better organized run, which everyone can agree will be important with a group as large as what it looks like.

THEY MADE A THREAD FOR THE MARCH MEET....

If you spent half as much energy to find trails, or gather a small group yourself to go play with this weekend as you have bitching that no one took the lead, than you would be getting ready to go have a good time instead of wasting your day because life happened....

    2WD friendly trails:

    4 peaks
    montana mountain
    sheeps
    lots of bulldog canyon
The trail to Apache Lake down through tortilla flats

4WD trails good for a newbie group/stock vehicle

    Box Canyon
Cottonwood Canyon to back side of superior
    Broken Arrow
Back way to Crown King(stay on the main trail, anything big has bypasses but be prepared for snow/rain.
    Tons of trails at Sycamore
    Butcher to 4 Peaks

4WD trails for small groups with sliders, lockers, 33s and experience

Back way to Crown King taking the harder lines
    Elvis
    WoodPecker
    JackHandle
    Sycamore Loop(s)
    Terminators
    Turkey Creek
    Hackberry

Get out there, have some fun, make some friends, and bring your trash home with you...

    I’d bear with @XPOTRON

I know he is in the middle of moving and such so my guess is that he probably won’t be able to coordinate something for a little while.

Last I pm'd him. The response was they're working on it. Because of the original size of the event insurance was required under an LLC business entity. It may just be a TW Tacoma meet only to make the meet smaller. (and a few select 4runners )
