Ok boys my runner battery shit out on me while I was pumping gas in scottsboro and luckily my dad was near and gave me a jump. Time for a new battery so what brand have y'all had good luck with that won't make me tap into my damn lift fund!

Are you talking about putting a nut on a bolt in the boxed area of the frame?

I welded a nut (2 actually) to a backing plate, and slid it in. No cut hands.

Sorry for the delay, work got in the way. I'm down in Montgomery, been back for about 1.5 in the River Region (Prior Auburn -> T-town -> Blacksburg, VA --> Clemson, SC, --> DC --> Portland, OR and back to Montgomery to help my parents out). Got myself back into a Tacoma (Cement TRD Pro) after having a VW JSW TDI for three years and selling it back to VW. Prior, had a 1st gen 2001 Tacoma TRD Off-Road for 14 years and racked up 250k miles on it from Mississippi to Florida and up north to Virginia, both highways and for work in the field. Nice to meet everyone online and hopefully in person if time allows...

Safelite ended up being a PITA, I was pissed that they botched the issue to begin with. Regardless, haven't had any issues with the new windshield, however it looks slightly distorted at the corners. I'll have to snap a pic of it one day. I don't like it, but then again with all the highway driving, I'm bound to get hit by some pebble that will end up having to get the windshield replaced in the future. Regardless, still saving some money to do some work on the rig, having though it over, going to save up for some proper sliders and gear work then build the cosmetic/body stuff out later, first I've gotta deal with a 1993 FZJ80 that I have. Want to get the interior all back in it, fix the rusty driver's side floor pan, and get some mech/brakes maintenance done too.

Anyone know if Gen 3 stealth steps will fit Gen 2??? Found a set in black for like $150.
