06 TRD Sport with a little rust..

Just picked up an 06 and am excited to add some gear little by little. Unfortunately, the truck is from Canada and there is some rust below that I want to take care of, first thing. Any suggestions for removing and treating? I have seen some youtube videos that give suggestions, but I would really like to hear from someone with first-hand experience. what method of removal? products used?

Take it to a dealer to see if the frame replacement/frame treatment will be covered by Toyota.

You should have probably checked before buying because sometimes ownership changes can impact eligibility.

So check ASAP with a dealer or Toyota corporate.
