So for my verification my 2006 double cab 4.0 4X4 Off road base model has the reverse 8” clamshell front correct? I’m about to order with ECGS and want to make sure 100%.

4.56s all around front and rear. Going thru the break in period of 500 miles ECGS recommends. Worst part was tearing apart front end and breaking lose those old bolts. Oh and pumping the gear oil in the front clamshell :crapstorm:

First things first. Stripped the whole rear end, replaced my axle seals after 230k miles. Cleaned out the entire axle like new, dropped everything back together. Very simple. Next came the front, breaking the bolts seemed to take the longest part of it. Couple hard to reach issues with the fabtech lift giving me little access on a few. All and all simple. One seal to fix in the front passenger side spindle. Other than that. From the stripped front end to all back together I’d say 3 hours re assembly. Good overall weekend project and happy with the results so far. Although I have to grandpa around til this 500 mile mark breaking it all in
