Or reserve the top few posts for themselves, or make one large post at the beginning with the important info. I agree. Much more enjoyable let when effort is put into it.

I think this would help with some of it.
I agree and some do do that but sometimes I'm looking for a certain picture or something that was posted. It would help sort through the bs and narrow down the area of the post. I kind of did that for mine but there's very minor bs in it so it's easy to shift through it.

Social communication is social communication. It requires a certain amount of bullshitting. Subbed is part of the banter.

I always took “sub’d“ as a way to let the OP of a particular thread know that he/she has your attention. A sign of respect, if you will, to let them know that they’re contributing something worthwhile to the site. Yes, it’s useless for the casual reader, but as OP of a few threads here whenever someone “sub”s to my threads I feel as if they appreciate what information I’ve attempted to share. If someone just clicks the “watch tread” button, I’d never know.

    Just my $.02.

Didn't realize this would become a pissing match and hurt so many people's feelings. Guess I'm not on here to get satisfaction from some random person comment saying "subd" but rather to build my truck and use other peoples knowledge and meet like minded people. But I also grew out of the tw phase of rtt, bed racks and light bars and decided to actually use and wheel my truck. Moderators can lock/delete this thread now. To many butt hurt people.

.....not sure where the pissing match took place, but I think we found whose butt got hurt.

To answer your question: no. Not only would you be trying to change the culture that is now TW (click the dog in my sig to find out what happened to someone who tried telling TW what to do), but the mods would never be able to keep up with separating the past and future B.S. from useful info (especially when useful info comes in the form of B.S.).

That's all I got. I'll go back to searching for an RTT and bed bars.

I tend to agree with OP. Maybe it's because I came from the era of Pirate and TTORA where build threads were quite a bit more succinct and you didn't have to wade through three pages of posts just saying "subbed" to get to the next post of any value. Guess I'm dating myself to when forum posts were for when you really had something to say and didn't just post to just boost post count and stroke somebody's ego.
