Anyone running these with weight on the truck of winch/bumper, sliders, rear bumper, armor, etc? Do the coils that come from Fox handle it ok or are you swapping for heavier coils?

Not to speak for him but I know the OP is running this setup w/ a winch, sliders, rear bumper, and mentions in the post carrying a few hundred pounds of gear in the bed frequently.

Yes, wondering how the Fox coils (600lb?) would hold up or not, I'm running OME 886 (660lb). My front is heavier, ARB bumper w/winch, front armor skids.

The temps up here finally got above 0 so I got the chance to dremel out the notch on the PS a little bit more for the resi hose, no more rub now! Just have to steal a stone cone bit from the skate room at work and clean it up a bit and then I can stop driving like a biotch and flex the back end a bit on some frost heaves and be that jackass doing donuts in the parking lot at work. Ride has been fantastic after a short break in time, no second thoughts here, would recommend this kit to anyone and everyone

I would watch the shock reservoir on the passenger side. I'm not sure how your bump stops are setup, but the axle will hit the reservoir if not careful. This is from personal experience. I had to switch my shock around, so the reservoir was facing the other direction to avoid contact.

That was something I had in mind as well, I may eventually mount them on the frame. On either side I have them mounted so the bottom edge is .5"-1" above the bottom of the shock body (probably why I had the rub issues in the part I notched out. I also swapped out the stock bump stops for some superbumps, a bigger stop but I know they're much softer than OE.

I've got 152 extra pounds up front with zero issues and minimal brake dive. If you are use to 660 coils and like the ride, these will likely feel soft. If you consider your current ride too stiff, you'll love these. Either way the Fox coils will hold up fine. I think someone is running this with the ARB bumper with no problems (will have to review earlier posts), but I have no idea how heavy your skids are. Really your preference on ride.

I'd say definitely get superbumps for the rear. If you're already lifting the back end its just a quick swap when you put it all back together. Now it's easy enough to do the fronts any time you want later on. Easy...but a tedious pain in the ass if you ask me using a long ass allen key but easy none the less

I installed Pelfreybilt steel plate bumper, 10K steel cable winch, and a full set of skid plates. Only lost 1/4" in the height, mine were at 3". No nose dive or bouncy bounce. Very nice ride both on and off road, see pics.

Mully! Sweet bumper man! Glad you posted bc I wasn't sure how the coils would handle the weight. Question: how much wind drag are feeling up front at 70+mph w the high clearance bumper? Drift etc.

I don't notice any additional wind drag, if anything it cuts through it. I truly love the way my Truck rides and handles.

**Question** By manually compressing to full compression, w/your hands or whatever:
On the Fox rear 2.0 resi's does the shock compress completely to the bottom mount?
Or do they bottom out internally before the shock body hits the lower mount?

They have an internal bumpstop that stops it; however, the actual truck bumps will stop the compression so nothing to worry about.

At what point will the truck stop the compression? I totally forgot to look @ my bumpstop situation while I was flexed like this. I got mine this close & had more flex left!

Geeze man, I suppose you should gently totally flex her out in a ditch and see if it contacts. The Dakar packs are designed to flex more so this one is kinda on you bc I just have the progressive aal's. I'll try to look at mine today and see if I've made any contact. It does look close w your pic. Mully, calling Mully.

My rear shocks are different, I have a piggy back resi and air bags. I can say that I have never fully compressed the rears. I don't think he has anything to worry about. Just wheel it. Good luck.

I had the resi mounted piggy back but didn't like it so I moved the resi to the frame.
