it was weird, but so memorable. can't explain.

i think it was basically dehydrated onion soup with a big whack of MSG. and it had you add like a pound of mayo.

Man I don't think I have had that since my teens. Used to love it. Not sure if my wife would eat it. Only way she seems to like tuna is from a can with mayo and pickles in it.

Looks like Tuna Twist was discontinued because something in there that made the tuna go farther was unhealthy. If it got banned in the 70s, it musta been mf unhealthy!

I like making regular tuna sandwiches or tuna melts about once a month.

    How I like it.

2 cans of Albacore tuna or 10 oz - Drained (I use a fork to separate it finely)
I use Costco 5.1 Oz Albacore cans
1 whole Granny Smith Apple - skin removed 1/4" cubes
2 sweet Gherkins pickles - finely chopped
4 green onions - finely chopped (just the green part)
1/4 red onion - finely chopped
2 celery stalks - finely chopped
    cilantro - finely chopped (optional)
    1 pinch raw sugar
    Mayo add as needed.

Check out Rain coast tuna its a bit more expensive but it does taste a lot better than regular tuna. I saw it on Bizarre foods episode and my wife tried it out and she liked it better than regular tuna.

I never heard of it since my mom and family were vegetarians (long story) and i was about 2-3yrs old when that product was out. When I went into the military I dropped the vegetarian lifestyle and have been a carnivore since:)

Thanks I will try it out see what she thinks.

Funny my little girl last night asked me vegetarian and I told her she wasn't likely to be one since mommy and daddy aren't and that she loves steak and bacon so much. She said would you still love me if I was. I told her yes I would no matter what. :)

    mixed before the mayo.

After adding mayo isn't as pretty.

Add butter on the inside of the bread and on the cooking surface. Sorry no pics of it done but I was too hungry to take another pic.

Wife looked at me funny when she asked it. Like trying to figure out what I was going to say. Mind you this is while my daughter is sitting there eating chicken nuggets at a restaurant.
