Some also seem to have zero direction with those unlimited funds. And others are just now being discovered after they have spent 6 years getting it to the point it's at now.

Seems if you "build" them over night, there is a good chance it will be "built" again. So why rush?

Because as a society, we've been conditioned to need instant gratification and to follow the latest/greatest trends like lemmings off a cliff.

Guess one more reason why I don't blend in with the herd and rarely follow the trends in society.

Very good point! I was at least smart enough to listen to some people with experience to correct my initial efforts and be able to get basic stuff done. Now I guess if I can start using it I can see what I truly need as I go along. I've had to learn quite a bit and obviously have quite a bit more to learn

We all do, just some choose not to acknowledge that aspect.

I will readily admit that I am trying to learn more each day. I don't know jack crap about this stuff yet, but I'm trying to learn at least.

I totally agree with what's being said. I've had my Tacoma 1 1/2 years now. Getting more knowledge about it by being on TW and watching youtube.
Funds are limited, so I have been saving my OT money. Been making list of tools needed. In spring when I do my lift I want to be totally prepared.

For myself, being older and having come from an entirely different aspect of a 4wd ideology I think admitting I didn't know shit about this aspect was the first step. Not being of the unlimited budget club I have to make myself pay a little more attention to what gets done so hopefully it's only once yet realizing this won't always be the case. Anymore though some things I do know about I keep to myself as others don't always agree or appreciate, which is of course there perogitive. I still try and listen and learn

Yup, I'm grateful for this site but damn, if I didn't have at least the basic knowledge, I'd be so screwed. Still think some things are too electronic'd up & don't need to be. I get in the wife's car & it starts yappin', beeping etc. Make me crazy!

There are many that also have mountains of debt because of those "unlimited" funds.

Love the truck man I really like your wheels I have not seen another with them for that matter painted to match the truck!

Yes I have a strong desire to find me an old like 85 Toyota that hopefully is far more mechanical. No where to put it though unless I get rid of car

Yep I kinda look at it like the folks around here that buy the monstrous houses then can't afford furniture. I can't say we live without extravagance as I have a money pit here in garage I seldom play with anymore. But it was all built off OT money and never touched house money.
Thanks about the wheels they're first gen Tundra wheels. I can't lay claim to being the smart one there as a friend here had them on his truck and I unintentionally copied him. He also encouraged me with the white as I didn't initially have the balls to do it

I make plans for what I want to do then save when I can for it. I would of never guessed those were 1st gen tundra wheels.

Yep I was very fortunate in a couple of ways. I went to dinner one night with a buddy and he told me he was selling his Tundra. After working with another buddy here and us discussing his wheels I was fortunate enough to have my wits about me and ask if I could trade him my 16" steeliness with new tires for them and he accepted. Then I found a 5th in a salvage yard d for the spare. As I said I unintentionally copied a buddy here but he agreed it was too good to pass up. With the Cooper 255/80/17's they're a perfect match as they are on his 285/75/17 big tires. I've never been a person to win the lottery or a raffle but for some weird reason I'm not arguing with wonderful deals like my sliders among many other things have fallen into my lap. Far be it for me to object

I never pass up a good deal unless I absolutely can't afford it at the time or can't horse trade for it. A good horse trade is always a good thing I ended up with all kinds of goodies that way

My windshield has been jacked up with hard water spots or acid rain for a while. I got my wife to pick me up some of the bar keepers friend as I saw on a thread on here. Then I found a bottle of stuff I forgot I had. Duragloss 755 Nu-Glass. Application is just like waxing but with a little more elbow grease. Let haze and wipe clean. I could feel the roughness I n the glass disappear as I rubbed. It looks like it took everything off

That bar keepers friend thread was mine. Really unless you have really stubborn water stains or other crud on the windows any good cleaner wax, what you used, or rubbing compound will work.
