Hey there everyone. I have a 2015 tacoma 2.7L 4cyl and it just is not quick enough. If you have any information or knowledge about which one is better and better results please let me know. If you have a supercharger for sale also please let me know.

Like @Torspd said, check out the Turbo BS thread in the Performance & Tuning section.

There are only a couple turbocharged 2TRs running around on here, and a few are in the works. @MrCrowntown is working with LCE as they develop their turbo kit for the 2TR, and then he's going for monster power. There's a turbo kit from a company called Oz Boost, but it's a bunch of chinese junk. A member bought the kit and replaced everything but the manifold and downpipe because it's that bad. Turbo build is my next project once I finish up my suspension build, so probably late this year or early next.

For supercharging, URD is your only option for a kit. I've seen a few people post here that they've got the kit, but you never seem to hear from them after that. I think they just install and forget about it. Used kits are few and far between.

Personal preference really. After owning a supercharged vehicle and a turbocharged vehicle I like the turbo more. The turbo is better on fuel because unless it's boosting it's not as hard on fuel as a super charger the down fall is turbo lag. Where the super charger is constantly spooling burning more fuel but there is no lag because it's driven off the engine it's self where the turbo runs off of exhaust fumes. That and I like the sound of a turbo more.

Not the case with most OEM turbo engines. They just size match them on the small side, to keep the boost threshold as low in the rpm as possible. Instant boost.

Personal builds is where the lag is mostly realized. All about sizing. Heat, efficiency range, and CFM for HP goals are other aspects.

    Turbo FTW.

This is all true but turbo lag still exists. It may not be as much as a personal build on a larger platform turbo but it's still there. Unlike a supercharger that is constantly spinning keeping everything in boost. Op is looking at doing a build he hasn't specd out anything yet for all we know he could be putting on a massive Garrett turbo and twin scrolling it. Trying to help reduce turbo lag.
