I like that it has 3x RF power settings.

I would recommend using the 5 or 10w setting when trail riding, actually prefer more the 5w. Unless you really need the higher wattage, don't use it.

Really nice radio in either case.

Not too familiar with CV radios or any radios for that matter. Do you need a special license for your own handle?
