Currently have fox 2.0s in the rear just wondering who alls running 2.5’s? Just wondering if the extra oil capacity might better match my weight, constant 600-700lbs., and deaver u402’s.
Or a point in the right direction would be much appreciated. I found an old icon 2.5 rear test thread but coming up pretty dry otherwise. Thanks

yes. I had Icon 2.5 with resi for a little over a year.

They were comfortable (more than the B110s that I went to). But I dont go fast off road. They were overkill for what I used them for.

Ride quality. The Bilsteins are more jarring. Probably because there is no reservoir.

I am not sure how much weight I have. HC rear bumper with swingout, dual jerry cans, full spare. I had a cap, RTT, (also had a bed rack and RTT), bedslide, and skids..

I have them with Dakar standards, but I’m only about 300 lbs. in the bed. Big improvement over the 2” Icons I had before in the higher speed stuff. Rear is more planted in washboard turns.

Thanks. Were the previous 2.0’s Icons as well?

Cool. Ya i tried on the stage 2 (1 extra leaf) at deaver and had a shit load of rake even when considering the inevitable sag. Had them put in the regular pack. I have since added weight so i am very similar to your non camping setup and could could probably use that extra leaf right about now

I run 2.5 on the rears and love them. Build custom mounts to hold 12 (or 14 dont remember lol)
also made custom mounts for some air bumps.

I still have ok arch though. Seems a bit chattery in the rear. Poly performance suggested some king 2.5s before I mentioned i had kings in the front. Seems most people that had 2.5s have switched back or sold their 2.5s. Hard to find much info on tacomas and 2.5s.

I’m running about the same constant weight that you are on the rear. When I swapped out my icons for Kings, I went from a 2.0 to a 2.5 shock in the rear. Best thing I did was increase the diameter but also had the Kings valved for my truck...now my truck doesn’t bounce off the hydro bumps all the time anymore.
