IMG_0860.jpg Another redneck ass mod complete!! A friend of mine sold me this wilco tire gate for 50$!! Problem is, it belonged to a 2014 chevy 1500. Had to chop it down 8" and reweld it, and made a custom mounting bracket to make it fit. It's a little tall so I think I'm gonna fabricate a roll bar to extend from the gate to the cab. Just need to get my full size spare falken wildpeak!!

No I don't believe they did. They don't really need to. I made the ones on mine I found the factory ones that are square on top are hard to get the welder into. Granted you don't really need to weld the top as all the pressure will be coming up from the bottom. I clipped the corners off the top of mine at 45's so I could weld more though so the only thing not welded is the very top.

When I first did these on the other truck I fabbed 1/4" frame plates and gussets but it was over kill 3/16 is all that's needed

Nothin crazy today. Took the dog for a trip to the dog park and Autozone for some red LED map lights. (Ordered dome). I always run the dome lights off in all my vehicles. I don’t like people seeing into my truck at night and I like to keep my night vision sharp (maybe I’m paranoid). so I replaced everything with red LEDs. I’m sure the fiancé will hate it.

Also broke down and ordered some AVS In channel Window vents.

Congrats on the CB. I love mine. It’s fun when a lot of your friends have them around town.

    https://www.rightchannelradios.com/blogs/installation-guides/18330687-cb-antenna-tuning-instructions

This is what taught me to tune my antenna. Go to a trucker stop like loves and pick up an SWR meter. Comes in handy. You could burn out your radio if your SWR is off. You can listen/receive all you want no problem. But transmission without tuning could ruin your unit.

Also. Channel 9 is for emergency’s only. Have fun

Sprayed my Bentrodders bed supports and DIY bussman mount with spray on bed liner. Also put a few pieces of heat shrink on the hood support. No idea when I'll have time to install them but I'll have plenty of time to locate the two star drive bits.

Hey thanks! 6 month Old boxer named Odin. He’s a trouble maker, and unfortunately his good looks often get him out of a lot of trouble. I have holes all in my freshly sodded back yard to prove it.

Poor guy, I put him in the bed of the truck (parked) while I was working on the light install and he decided he wanted out and landed on his chin. All is well just a small scrape but I still feel bad. He likes being in the cab with me so next time that’s where he’ll be.

Installed AVS Bugflector II. And changed the oil for the first time using the DIY Oil Change Sticky.

I like the AVS Bugflector. It was snowing so I got to see first hand how the air pushes the snow and eventually bugs up and out of the way.

The Oil Change couldn't have gone easier didn't even need my vehicle ramps.

    Next front Brakes!
Then it's LIFT KIT time!! WHOOOO!:militarypress:

All of them. Literally. Every single LED SAE fog pattern pod or LED fog replacement (for clean cut offs) I could find, bar none. Including importing from Canadian companies. And then a few more on top for good measure. Specs vary significantly as does price point. Some are far cheaper than Rigid while maintaining cut offs with lower power, and some claim to be far more powerful with significantly more output than Rigid while keeping the cut offs. Lots of BS in the LED market, only way to tell for sure is buy them all and do a comprehensive comparison for TW. I'd estimate post date at 2-3 weeks.

Mostly interior mods. Hood work leds, in-cab outlet (I have it switched to the front plug for a cabin heater in the winter), 400w all the time on the inverter, heated mirror add-on, and 4x4 switch illumination. Up coming I want a level kit and hood scoop light bar and possibly line the bed with the led strips.

Awesome! Can't wait for the final product. Are you going to test some with amber/yellow covers to see how that affects them? Is Iggy lights in the mix with those?
