What works best for sound proofing? I used roofing sealant tape to waterproof and close up the hole I cut but it is still super loud. I can hear the chain spinning around and it's quite annoying.

My truck is manual. I used the stock fj shifter boot. Worked good for me. There are some boots out there that are single. I think you can find one at marlin crawler.

I've got the twin sticks from Front Range and using their mediocre boot. Is there something to block sound in the FJ boot?

Where do you buy the stock rubber fj shift boot from? I've tried looking on a couple toyota parts websites but I can't find it.

The st9ck go boot will not work for you then. May want to look into dyna mat. It's sound deadining material. Used on the body when people put in high end stereo. Cover the transmission tunnel with it.

Anyone with a twin stick setup have pictures on how they sealed their floor? Did the boot that came with the twin sticks do the job good enough? Trying to avoid water + dirt from getting in

I made a custom floor seal with aluminum sheet, and a rubber shifter boot bolted between the aluminum plates. This assembly slides over the shifters under the truck, then gets bolted to the body. The rubber square part faces up against the underside of the cab and pinches against the metal creating a seal, while the shifter boot section seals off the area around the shift rods. This method only works with me because im running a 1.5” body lift and have the room below the truck between the t-case and the cab to slide the seal in place. I dont think this method would work on a truck without a BL as the top of the t case is touching the floor/is in the cab and theres no room to mount a seal from the underside. Trucks without a BL will have to seal from the interior
