Yeh but it is an OR suspension, and I would put the spacer in there.

but your spacer needs to go below the tophat.. it wouldnt be worth it, unless we had all the tools, and didnt need to rent anything

 

Haha well I guess I need to buy a spring compressor. I understand that logistics, but my question is, wouldn't putting a spacer in that coil-over reduce the effective/reason for having progressive coils? It's preloading the spring right? So I would basically be skipping the lighter spring right in the beginning.

 

I thought spacers go above the top hat? Does he have different kind of spacers?

They're easier but make for a little bit rougher ride. They limit your shocks travel more than the in-coil-over spacers.

True true, for my first suspension work I just why with those for the install ease.

 

They are very easy to install, and, also, how much of a difference they make in ride quality may be negligible. I have never had over the shock spacers in this truck so I really don't have anything to compare it to.
