    Hey TW,

Had some questions regarding rear lift coil options. I would like 1-inch lift in the back and am looking at Billstein 5100 rears and Fox 2.0 performance series rears. Would both options offer me rear lift? I am kind of confused if I need an Add a leaf pack or can I get by with just the shocks in the rear? Please comment, i would greatly appreciate your assistance everyone !
Truck is 2WD by the way. I want a rear set of shocks that will withstand some heavy bumps and rhythm sections when going to the dessert and what not.

U need an add a leaf, or new leafpack.

Rear shocks dont lift... they dampen.

Rear shocks do not provide lift in the rear, they only dampen the movement of the leafspring and the tire. If you plan on going through the desert or high speed runs that would work the shock, you might want to get one with the reservoir like a Bilstein 5160, or one of the fox shocks ( don’t know much about their models ) for lift the best choice would be new leaf springs (Icon , OME Dakar , Deaver , wheelers ). Most of the leaf springs you can tune to how much weight you are going to be carrying (shell - tools - etc) , 2nd option add a leaf - if your going to run a heavier load - A single leaf add a leaf is supposed to carry weight better. A 3 leaf at a leaf It’s supposed to ride better. And lastly running a 1 inch block in the back ( factory tacoma springs tent to sag under weight and have lots of axle wrap- which seem to be exaggerated with a block.

Check with Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road these are some packages you can order including rear reservoir shocks and different rear lift and upper control arm options

I'll throw my 2 cents in as well for Marie @Headstrong. Great people and Marie is very knowledgeable. Just finished get my lift/suspension from them in yesterday.

5100 all around, uca, aal and new coils.

Significantly improved the ride and feel.

But are there many leaf packs, or any, that only add a 1" lift in back? Don't most, or all, add at least 1.5". I forget, the rear is 1" higher than the front (on stock susp)?
