Odered mine on Ebay from Areyourshop-a for $129. Ordered it at 830 pm on 1/22 and it arrived at my house on 1/30. It is a one piece with the detachable letters. Packed well with all tabs intact. Seems to be good quality from initial inspection. Will be installing tonight.

Apparently you didn't read very much of this thread before posting. The consensus of the majority is that these are as good as OEM for 1/3 the price. If you have the money to spend on the OEM then good for you, but a lot of people don't and they don't see the point of paying more for the same product. You think Toyota is using some crazy patented plastic? Nope. Same shit.

i definitely agree but at this point though it seems you can get these for around $178 from Toyota now so with only roughly a $30-40 price difference, is it worth it to get directly from toyota?

When I ordered my knock off the cheapest I could get a grille from Toyota was $365. I didn’t think it was worth that. After getting screwed by the Malaysian guy, like many others, I ordered and received one in perfect condition for $117. I can’t tell the difference between the real and the knock off. I would have paid $178 for the OEM grille just to save the hassle of worrying about shipping from China, but then again, kudos for them forcing Toyota to stop ripping everyone off.

If you purchase the cheaper OEM grille for $180ish, I thought you also had to purchase the garnish for another $50, otherwise you are left with a hole?

i assumed even purchasing it from toyota you had to pay additional to get the garnish, is that not the case? Sorry for being naive on the subject im still learning here.

Mine is for my 17 TRD OR. The Garnish spot is filled in but looks like it could be removed if needed. It was $129 to the door.

Yes. Bought off Ebay. I don't have pictures yet. It is in the back seat of my truck right now because I just picked it up at the post office this morning. USPS tried to deliver yesterday, but I wasn't there to sign. It was packaged really nice. I took it out of the box and checked it over good to see if any tabs were broken or any other obvious defects. It looks like a very well manufactured item. Time to deliver was very reasonable too. If someone wants to spend an additional $100+ to say they have an OEM then more power to them. I'll use that cash to buy more stuff for my Taco!

I’m not too sure. Someone provided the exact part number above and I called my dealership where I bought my truck and that’s the price they gave me not including tax. I also googled the part online at Toyota parts and it’s around the same price.

The 2018 is the one being sold for $170ish, but you have to buy the garnish (53141-35060) for $50 if putting on a 2016-17. But it’s a genuine Toyota part. The 2016-17 genuine is selling for $370+.

    So Chinese from $120-160 or the genuine 2018 ($180) + garnish ($50) for a 2016-17 for around $230.

Or I can plastidip for less than $10.

Still deciding myself but not in a big rush to get one yet.
