Mass owners front license plate

Unfortunately we have to have a front plate.

I am trying to get some idea what I can do to protect the bumper.

Any ideas or picts would be greatly appreciated

I bent mine out just a bit. Other than that, maybe some thin weather strippin? You can even have a license plate frame here anymore. They will fail you at inspection. (but you could put it on after)

 

yeah they are getting pretty crazy with the laws here. I had one moron tell me my stock dodge was too loud.

 

i made an aluminium bracket for the bottom two holes,if you mount it with only the two top holes its gonna rub the paint off your valance

 

i pulled mine off once i noticed it was starting to eat through my paint on my bumper

havnt had any issues yet.... knock on wood

 

I use the plastic dealer plate as a backer.

Yep any new plates are issued two at a time. The old green ones are the only ones allowed just on the back. I wish I knew someone who had a green plate, I would love to transfer and just have the one.
got pulled over years ago for only having one plate, and the two plates were stuck together and mounted together on the rear. Cop was cool and sadi to just mount it.
I hate where the plate is on our Tacomas, blocks air and looks just dumb...
